Camelot is an amusement cum theme park resort. Located in the English county of Lancashire, it is built up in 140 acres of land near the village of Charnok Richard. It is owned by The Story Group and operated by Knights Leisure.
Camelot Park was opened in 1983, and is based on the story of Camelot, King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. By the year 1986, it was taken over by Granada Group and even operated by them.
The main attractions of the park are miniature golf, go carts, bumper boats, video arcade, batting cages and rookie Jr. grand prix. Rides are available in three categories like Thrill Rides, Family Rides and Children’s Ride. The different kinds of exciting rides taking families and younger children are roller coaster with whirlwind, nightmare and Excalibur which thrills people a lot.
Camelot Park offers fantastic medieval shows, birds of prey center and free fun family jackpot of winning free tickets for events. It is a good place for organizing birthday parties or any family events and playing golf.
In this theme park, magical sorcery of a wizard can be seen and knights battling in an exciting tournament. This place is full of fun, mouth gaping thrills and stunning shows.
Earlier this family entertainment park was highly recommended by the local people, but now this park is seeing downtrend and amount of visitors coming to the park has decreased drastically because of lack of maintenance. |
